- Based on the outcome of some discussions with 2K, we're announcing that we won't be working on updates for Long War 2 for the War of the Chosen expansion. While we're disappointed for our fans that we won't be able to continue work on the mod, this does free our team to focus its full efforts on our original title, Terra Invicta, which is now.
- War of the Chosen is the new massive expansion to XCOM 2, and is more of a total overhaul of the base game than a traditional expansion. That's to be expected. After all, this is what developer.
War of the Chosen promises a deeper, better XCOM 2 Rowan Kaiser July 12, 2017 7:30 AM Above: A Skirmisher, a Reaper, and a squaddie face off against the zombie-like Lost.

If the above steps don't fix your problem, remove all other mods and see if it persists. An additional temporary workaround to crashes when starting a new campaign is to move all of your old save files out of DocumentsMy GamesXCOM2XComGameSaveData. A volunteer mod team has formed to work on the conversion; we fully support their efforts. More details are here: https://www.pavonisinteractive.com/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=22.
I found something that might be causing people a LOT of grief without them knowing it. In the config file 'Xcomgamecore.ini' there are four lines that are 'SoldiersLostAlienHitChanceAdjustment=' with the value at '100' for each. Might I ask why this is the case, because this means that after an XCOM soldier is killed there is a 100% bonus that the aliens will hit another soldier because of it?
I changed these values to '0' for the time being. Others should consider doing the same. The people maintaining this mod might want to look into this, because it looks like a mistake. Found a possible bug with the advanced psi amp. I've met the prerequisites for being able to build one, that is I have psionics, and a psionic chamber build, as well as a full team of psionic soldiers by now, but the advanced psi-amp isn't showing up in the list of buildable options at all? I've even looked back at the 'psionics' research in the archives, and the advanced psi-amp isn't on the list at all.
This seems in direct conflict with the information on the wiki, and in the actual 'XComLWOverhaul' ini file, both of which state that the advanced psi-amp should be available to build after researching the psionics technology.I have no other mods that alter game mechanics in any way, besides commanders choice.EDIT: The same issue seems to be happening with the 'advanced grenade launcher'. The prequisite says I need magnetic weapons, and I have already gotten to plasma, but the item is not showing up anywhere. What am I doing wrong?? Followed the simple install instructions and I'm not seeing any option for Long War 2 tab displayed at bottom like in the first Long War game. Tried starting a new game and still no Long War 2 tab option displayed.
I don't remember the first Long War being this hard. One thing I noticed is instructions say to install to: D:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonXCOM 2XComGameMods folder. I did not have a Mods folder so I created one.
Was I supposed to have a Mod folder already present? Is creating a Mod folder sufficient? Anybody know?

Help with this would be appreciated. Thanks.Update: In removing the mod and attempting to start over the whole XCOM 2 game some how got messed up. Steam is now requiring that I re-download 19 GB of the game even though my XCOM 2 folder still contains the whole 35 GB game. This is madness. I won't be playing XCOM 2 again for a long timre because I've got a slow internet connection. Wonder if system restore would work?.
